New York Auto Show 2009: Chevrolet Corvette GT1 Championship Edition gets called to the carpet
Back in February, General Motors circulated a few studio shots of a new Chevrolet Corvette GT1 Championship Edition package, but the New York Auto Show is the first time we’re coming face-to-face with just such an animal.
Built up from a standard 4LT coupe or convertible, the GT1 CE is essentially a trim-and-tape tribute package designed to celebrate the C6.R’s racing successes. As such, it features a graphics package influenced by the racecar’s livery, including the skull “Jake” logo, driver flags, a windshield banner, and so on. There’s also a ZR1 “style” rear spoiler and chrome wheels to complete the package, although unfortunately no drivetrain bits from the King Corvette will make the scene.

New York Auto Show 2009 Preview: 2010 Subaru Legacy revealed ahead of Big Apple debut
With the days winding down until the opening of the 2009 New York Auto Show, Subaru has released the full details along with photographs of its highly anticipated new Legacy, which replaces the outgoing model for the 2010 model year. The new Legacy has big shoes to fill, as the outgoing model offered a compelling package with a sleek design and capable chassis.
The exterior design of the new model bridges the gap between Subie’s aging flagship model and the concept car the Japanese automaker revealed in Detroit. The new Legacy also grows an inch longer, and about three inches in each the wheelbase, width and height, in order to offer a more commodious cabin.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 SV to Debut in 2010 Geneva Motor Show
Rumors are spreading that Lambo will debut a new version of the LP560-4 next year in Geneva. The Lamborghini LP570-4 Super Veloce would have stronger performance figures and some different design features.
While a 10-horsepower boost may not seem worthy of all the hype on its own, a large drop in weight would justify quite a bit of attention. It is important to note that the Gallardo Superleggera, also introduced in Geneva, featured a similar power increase and weighed 100 kilograms (220.5 lbs) less than the Gallardo.
Expected to show on the new model are new front and rear spoilers, re-tuned suspension, and carbon ceramic brakes.

Wheelsandmore Lamborghini Gallardo LP620
Here’s another variation on the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4. This one, called the YarroW, is from German tuner Wheelsandmore.
First up, power on this Lambo is amped up to 620 hp and 580 lb-ft of torque (785 Nm). Wheelsandmore achieves this increase by means of ECU tampering, a carbon airbox and a stainless steel exhaust system with valve control.
The YarroW also comes with a beefed-up brake system to match those extra horses. 8-piston calipers are fitted at the front and 6-piston ones for the rear wheels, with 14.96 and 14.17-inch discs at front and back, respectively.
20-inch wheels are also part of the tuning kit, wrapped in 235/30/20 Dunlop Sport Maxx tires at the front (for the 8.5 x 20″ rims) and 305/25/20 at the back (11.5 x 20″). The 3-piece forged rims are lightweight and come in various color and surface configurations.
